Water plays a dual role in metabolism with the help of enzymes, it breakdown food to generate molecules of nutrients such as starches, triglycerides and protein, for easy digestion. It also breaks down bonds to create smaller molecules of glucose, fatty acids and amino acids.

Water acts as a solvent in which many of the body's nutrients, such as vitamins B and C, dissolve to become bio-available. It also keeps your energy engine roaring. When you didn't get enough fluid in your tissues, your cells start to draw it from your blood-stream. Blood thickness, putting a strain on your heart and you may feel weak, light headed or groggy.
Better body functions
Water makes up to 70% of the body weight and it is therefore one of the principal chemical component. Water is required to cool the body, maintain muscle tone, skin tone and a moist environment for nose, ear, and throat tissues. Wter flushes out wate from the body with the help of kidneys it flushes the excess salt and urea in the kidney in the form of urine.

If you exercise in short bouts, you need 1.5 to 2.5 extra cup of water.
Pregnant women
Pregnant women should drink 2.3 liters of fluids daily and women who breastfeed consume more - 3.1 litres as water is lost through nursing.

Thanks finsoft. Do you know what vitamin supplements are good? I started taking some a couple months ago but it made my side hurt so I figured it might not be a good vitamin.
It was an organic kind. Do you have some suggestions? I was also hearing on the news that some vitamin supplements are not labeled accurately and can be dangerous.

I noticed this a lot for myself. I don't know if it has anything to do with each other, but being anemic I get dizzy and fatigued a lot and drinking lots of water helps me feel better. It's like an energy booster.
Though my lips still have the tendency to dry up for some reason. This I don't know why.
